III68

The ignorant is upset at how I show my Love,
I am what I am; I do not care if the world knows it.

The world turns only for the Lovers;
Anyone without Love is truly homeless.

His beauty isn't witnessed only by my eyes,
The Sun and the Moon reflect it.

Allah sealed my bond to all that is beautiful in the Eternal.
The beautiful will heal all my suffering.

I'm poor, but I make myself rich with wine,
They won't take my Sufi's cloak as payment.

The stumbling butterfly cannot reach the Sun,
There is no wisdom capable of understanding Allah's mystery.

No true lover can ever curse Allah.
Such "lovers" will always remain far away.

It is worth paying your own soul as ransom,
if the warm wind can lead you to the Kingdom.

The Hypocrites cannot understand Hafiz, lover of freedom.
Just as the words of Allah cannot be well-taught by demons.
