IV132

O Heart! Even when you're far from the Beloved's face,
Wherever you go, you'll still be following the Beloved.

O Heart! If you listen to the whims of your desires,
you will never find the kingdom; after all, you are the son of Adam.

The canopy of Heaven will never offer you drink.
If you are thirsty, you must drink the water of Life.

Like the warm wind I will serve You forever,
Until you appear again like the flower in springtime.

The night of longing will soon consume my life.
Its time for you to arise, like the shining moon.

I've shed many rivers of tears in your path.
Visit me today, as a sheltering Cypress tree.

Hafiz, do not worry; your splendorous Moon
Will soon relieve you from all your troubles.
